Introduction

Keep Australia Beautiful Council Community Litter Grants

The Keep Australia Beautiful Council Community Litter Grants are available to Western Australian entities, including local governments, associations, community groups, small to medium enterprises, schools, events and festivals. If your organisation does not have an ABN, you must have an Auspice.

The Community Litter Grants provide grants of  up to $10,000 for litter initiatives.You can view previous grant recipients here. $60,000 is available in the 2024 round. 

Please complete each section, and allow yourself enough time to review the application before the due date.

* Successful applicants are announced in June 2024, (subject to change). Projects are to commence from July 2024 and be completed and acquitted by 20 May 2025.

Keep Australia Beautiful Council Funding Priorities

All eligible applications must:

  • Demonstrate engagement of key stakeholders in the planning and/or delivery of the project. Involvement of your local community should be a consideration.
  • Demonstrate initial research and be based on best available practice through an integrated approach.
  • Be consistent with KABC’s Litter Prevention Strategy for Western Australia 2020 -25.
  • Provide an evaluation and acquittal of the project outcomes upon completion including litter reduction and changes in littering behaviour.
  • Be an initiative to address a litter problem in your area.
  • Is not a project that has started prior to grant funding.
  • Contribute resources towards the project, either in-kind or financial.
  • Have the potential to be a model for other initiatives.

Funding Payments

Upon approval and co-signed contracts, funding is provided in full. The recipient will invoice Keep Australia Beautiful for the amount.

The funding is exclusive of GST. If you are registered for GST, the GST component can be added to the invoice.

Financial and/or in-kind contributions from project partners will be expected.

Where applicable, please attach any supporting material to this application: 

  1. Quotes to support item costs. Items more than $1000 must have a quote.
  2. Letter from supporting organisations.
  3. Auspicing organisation authorised letter of support.
  4. Research documents.
