The Donation Improvement Program (DIP) aims to reduce the occurrence of illegal dumping and littering and to prevent unusable items being left at donation sites, which ultimately end up in landfill at a cost to the recycler. The DIP will support funding for infrastructure and community education to reduce dumping and littering and encourage responsible donations at collection sites.
The DIP has a budget of $150,000 in 2026–27. Applicants may submit more than one project application with a maximum grant of $25,000 (exc GST) per project.
